HelloBabyDirect was founded by Trevor Ginn in 2007 in London’s East End, Truman Brewery. Trevor had started Hellobabydirect as he had just became a father, and only then had he realised how much there was out there that he actually had to buy! HelloBabyDirect has since moved to St Albans in 2011 and currently operate out of a 2000 sq ft warehouse and handle over 200 orders every day.

“We turnover 1.5 million a year mainly on eBay and Amazon“
“None of it is perfect and also I think they are trying to integrate with systems which themselves are deeply imperfect”
“We put stuff out there and we see who buys it”

“Anything you can do to make the situation frictionless is good”
“You can sell it anywhere, it’s fairly non seasonal”
“You have to become an expert at what you do”

“You should focus on the things you find interesting, I’m not very good at financing”
“We sell very internationally, we sell on eBay in 7 countries and we sell on Amazon in 7 countries”
“We have always been multi-channel but eBay and Amazon were just very easy ways to start”
“Free postage fundamentally means the price of the postage is included in the overall price”
